Self-noise test of digital output of sound devices mixpre-d, of watch ticking recorded with rode nt1a. Designed as comparison with tascam dr-70d and sony m10 (see separate files). Beware of loud 0db test tone at the beginning: turn volume down.
This is a simple recording of open air white noise of a quite room. I've used this in quite digital passes in some of my original music to help make the digital instrument sound a little less sterile. This is a full unedited take. You will want to crop the start and end sections so you don't here me cutting the recorder on and off ect. I hope you can use this if you need it!.
Noise created using a digital delay (alesis midiverb ii) in a feedback loop. Eq adjustments are continuously made during the recording. Caution: the file contains some loud high frequencies (of about 15 khz).
Recording of a synthesizer loading patches from tape storage, made by placing a magnetic pickup next to the digital port during the load operation. (i don't recall specifically which synth was involved, sorry!).

Static from 1010 on the am band of the radio recorded from a digital tuner. The jumbled noise sounds like a harsh wind with an old school chattering satellite chirping away.
